A single wine with bottles that are all uniquely alike

BetulaAlba: ten, a hundred, a thousand labels - uniquely alike

The BetulaAlba label project, born from a collaboration between Artevino Studio and ILMA Etichette, was created to explore the potential of HP Indigo digital printing and the variable data graphic features of SmartStream Designer—applied to the world of wine.

Two variable data techniques were used for BetulaAlba. The first, a graphic feature via HP Collage, allows each label to carry a distinct design derived from one or more base images. The second is classic variable data functionality that enables progressive numbering.

Ten, a hundred, a thousand—and even more—variations in a single print run. Every label is different. Every label is unique.

The choice of a delicate, ethereal image—such as a birch forest—creates a clean, refined, and elegant design that perfectly suits a wine aiming for a premium market position. The copper foil Kurz Luxoro Alufin 396 and the Fedrigoni Arconvert Cotton White paper add prestige and value to the product. Progressive numbering further reinforces the sense of exclusivity and uniqueness. At the center, the ever-changing image captures—like a photograph—the different perspectives of an endless forest of white birch trees.

Not available on the market. Printed by ILMA Etichette for technical experimentation purposes.
