Row geometry and orientation in glorious Greece
Assyrtiko: A wine that turns a summit into a dinner among friends
This is the story of a great passion shared by two professionals—both well established in fields far removed from winemaking. A civil engineer, Yannis Papadopoulos, and an architect, Yannis Kalaitzidis, decided in 1993 to cultivate 26 hectares of land in Thrace. The sandy-clay soils are protected by Mount Pangaion, where the Ancients once worshipped Dionysus.

Gold and Silver Foil
“Two satin foils highlight the name of the wine and the geometric details of the design.”
Braille embossing
“Braille embossing adds a three-dimensional tactile element to the label.”
Soft Touch
“The soft-touch finish adds a velvety tactile sensation and provides visual contrast on the pearlescent paper.”
Assyrtiko: a wine that turns a summit into a dinner among friends
For this wine line, the label design reflects how the vineyards were meticulously planted—aligned along sun-facing slopes and positioned to avoid late frosts. This planning ensures the grapes express the full character of the soil and the climate.
The label is printed on barrier-coated pearlescent wine paper in an off-white cream shade, ideal for refrigerated wines and resistant to moisture and fogging. Geometric patterns are enhanced with satin gold and silver foil. A velvety black soft-touch panel visually divides the label, while Braille embossing on the wine’s name underscores its identity with tactile clarity.
